I am a queer Latinx visual artist. I work with a broad range of different media, from drawing to public art. My body of work reveals deep and complex topics of social justice, culture, and identity issues. My current series explores femininity through still-life flower paintings, which were the only subject designated to be painted by women since the 17th Century. 
 

These acrylic paintings on paper are rendered with bright and fluorescent shades of color. I paint these images juxtaposing wildflowers and flower arrangements, intending to create a feeling of abstracted freedom.
